Trastevere across the river is Rome's walking-bar neighborhood â cobbled pedestrian streets packed with small wine bars, cocktail rooms, and dinners that become drinks that become 2 AM. Freni e Frizioni, Ma Che Siete Venuti a FĂ (the beer bar), The Jerry Thomas Speakeasy (password, serious cocktails).
Testaccio south runs the club scene in former slaughterhouse warehouses â Akab Club, Goa Club are the legacy electronic rooms. Pigneto is the newer indie-neighborhood alternative.
Roman nightlife runs late but without the megaclub scale of Madrid or Berlin. Italian pattern: long dinner, drinks in a wine bar, then a small club. Bars close around 2, clubs to 5.
